New Podcast & Song: Happy Thanksgiving!

all right, so picking up from where we left off (thank you blogmark)…

I’ve just posted the new Cahill Podcast - Episode #7. Our friend and artist Steve Moakler joins us for some stories along with our booking agent Papa Georgio. We also get a visit from John McCain, Kermit the Frog, David Gray, and Clevelend from Family Guy. You’ll have to listen.

I’ve mentioned this before, but Steve is fantastic and we’re very honored to have shared the stage with him and hear his music. This is Steve…

All right, enough of him, let’s get back to us. As Scott mentioned in his last blog, we just bought a brand new toy: a recording device called The Mbox. As promised, the toy has already delivered a song. Normally if we write something, it takes a while to see the light of day. Now, thanks to the new toy, we can get them recorded as quickly as we’d like.

Which brings me to this little ditty. The other night I was up VERY late playing some chords, humming some words over those chords… next thing I knew, I was inspired. A bunch of hours later, as the sun started coming up, I had it recorded. Believe me, it’s raw. I threw a mic in the room and played. Then I went back and added some piano (I don’t play piano), and threw in some harmonies (Scott was asleep).

It’s a very, very small example of what’s possible now. I probably would’ve played this song once or twice in my room and forgotten it. Now it’s captured, and I’m sharing it with you. It’s called “So.” Have a listen…
